Tanya Accone recently made it into the Bhoomki fashon blog as the ‘June Bhoomki Believer’ which features inspirational women from all around the world. Tanya graduated in 1993 from Rhodes University with a journalism and media studies degree. She also acquired her MA in communicationat the American University in Washington as well as an MS in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston, Texas. Since then, Accone has worked at the National Occupational Safety Association in Pretoria, Graham Holdings Company in Virginia, Avusa in Johannesburg and since 2001, at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in New York. She is currently the Chief of UNICEF’s Strategic Planning and Operations.
