Biographical Details

Ronald Max Griqua is Project Facilitator of the Rhodes Mathematics Education Project (RUMEP) at Rhodes University, Grahamstown/Makhanda, South Africa. He was also an Educator at the Department of Education for most of his working life. He was furthermore employed as a Human Resources Development Specialist at BHPBilliton and Kumba Iron Ore. He graduated from the University of the Western Cape and Rhodes University. His passion for teaching is fully lived out in the role that he plays in RUMEP, as it deals with in-service teacher development. The engagement with RUMEP ignited his research interest in visualisation in mathematics education.

I am under the process of writing a book with 11 other Mathematics Education professionals, under the guidance of Prof. Marc Schafer. The book will be published in 2022 by Routledge, dealing with Visualisation in Mathematics Education in Southern Africa.
