Title of Research: Influence of Nigerian and Chinese Cultural Values on Management

Jelilat Oyetunji was born in Bonny in the Niger Delta of Nigeria. She is currently a PhD student at Rhodes University.  She received her undergraduate degree in Computer Science and MBA from University of Southern Maine, US. Her work experience includes software programming and management consulting in US, UK, Mali and Nigeria. Jelilat speaks Yoruba, Ibani, English, and French, and has lived in Nigeria, Brunei, US and UK.

Jelilat's dissertation focuses on Chinese and African cross cultural management. She explores the effects of Nigerian and Chinese cultural values on management in Chinese companies in Nigeria, by investigating how cultural values of Nigerian and Chinese employees in Chinese companies influence management.
