Tracy Morison, is a post-doctoral fellow in the Human and Social Development programme at the Human Sciences Research Council. She obtained both a Masters in  Research Psychology and a PhD in Psychology from Rhodes University and remains affiliated to the university as a  Research Associate of the Psychology Department.  Tracy’s doctoral work focused on parenthood decision-making.  She is currently expanding on this work in collaborative a research project called “The childfree choice” that concentrates on voluntary childlessness in South Africa, India and Poland. Tracy’s main research interest is in reproductive decision-making and qualitative methodologies, particularly the synthesis of narrative and discursive methodology. She also has an interest in gender issues in general; feminist theory; households and families.
