The Amanzi for Food “Training of Trainers” course held at Taung College from 02-04 October 2018 in North West was well received by lecturers, farm workers and extension officers.
The three day course which was aimed at sharing knowledge on rainwater harvesting and conservation, is part of the Water Research Commission’s partnership with the Amanzi for Food project to share and disseminate information contained in the WRC materials on the different farming practices and ways of saving and conserving water. Other topics also covered in the course included different practices of greywater harvesting techniques and climate smart agricultural practices.
Commenting on the course, participants said they learnt a lot from the training. One of the participants applauded the Amanzi for Food team saying; “you are on the right track, keep doing what you are doing, you are planting seeds, you have planted a seed in Taung college of Agriculture, It’s only a matter of time, we are going to germinate and bear more seeds”.
