Short Biography:

Based at Antioch University New England, Dr. Uyizeye served as Program Manager for the Center for Tropical Ecology and Conservation for three years. Prior to this role, Dr. Uyizeye co-coordinated the Regional Network for Conservation Educators in the Albertine Rift, East Africa. Dr. Uyizeye is currently a research fellow of the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resources at the University of Rwanda. He also teaches at Keene State College in the U.S as an Adjunct Faculty.

Research Interests:

Dr. Uyizeye’s research interests include integrated and adaptive management of freshwater ecosystems, freshwater ecology and ecotoxicology with a focus on aquatic invertebrates. His doctoral thesis focused on developing an odonate-based index for monitoring freshwater ecosystems in Rwanda.
