Short Biography:

I am working as Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, Geo-Informatics and Climatic Sciences, Makerere University. I have 22 years research and teaching experience at Makerere University. I served as Head, department of Geography, Geo-Informatics and Climatic Sciences (2015-2019).
I am currently a member of Makerere University Senate, representing the School of Forestry, Environment and Geographical Sciences (SFEGS). I have over 50 publications in peer reviewed journal and book chapters. My citation indices as of September 2020 stand at H-Index = 19, i10 index = 37. I have been a lead editor of two books.
I am currently serving as Associate Editor of the Journal of Soil and Water Conservation. I have successfully supervised over 30 PhD and Masters students to completion.
I am a member of the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction. I am also an Executive Committee Member of (1) African association for Remote sensing of the Environment, AARSE (2) International Association of Landscape Ecology, Africa-IALE (3) International Geographical Union (4) Avoidable Deaths Network, ADN.
