A number of staff and students shared their stories during the evening of the impact Tally has had on their lives and academic careers. It was clear that Tally is admired and respected and speakers noted her role as a leading academic female, her continuous ‘fighting’ for equity, and her passion and interest in community engagement and transdisciplinary research. Almost all speakers mentioned her humanity, her ‘mothering’ to many students and her genuine concern for those she worked with.
