Biography:

Mary holds a BSc in Molecular Biology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and an MSc in Public Health and Zoonosis; all from the University of Zambia, Zambia. She also holds a Certificate in Teaching Methodology from the Technical and Vocational Training College (TVTC), Zambia.

She is passionate about water quality and its impact on health. At IWR, Mary is pursuing a PhD in Water Resource Science. Her research project involves detection of antibiotic resistant Campylobacter in environmental water using molecular techniques, attributing these antibiotic resistant pathogens to specific sources and assessment of the human health risks as a result of exposure to antibiotic resistant Campylobacter.
