Hobson Hall Rules

The purpose of the Hall Rule book is to explain the structure and functioning of the Hall and contains valuable information to assist students settling into Hobson Hall. This book has been compiled based on consideration for others and cooperation in the general running of Hobson Hall and each Residence.

Students are required to familiarise themselves with the Rhodes University Student Disciplinary Code and Hobson Hall Rules.

The rules set out in the Hobson Hall Rule book are additional to those set out in the Student Disciplinary Code. A breach of any of these rules will be regarded as a disciplinary offence which may result in a disciplinary penalty being imposed. These rules apply to all Residences in the Hall.

IGNORANCE OF THE RULES IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE.

Drunkenness is an aggravating factor, not a mitigating one.
