Hello and welcome to the residence currently known as Hobson New Residence. This is a newly built residence (built in 2022), housing 99 students, with 30 double rooms and 39 single rooms. The residence is a new addition to Hobson Hall, taking the Hall to a total number of 5 residences. As the House Warden of the residence, I am very intentional about creating a home away from home for my students, to instill the values of ubuntu and sisterhood amongst my students; to bridge the gap between my students and the University at large and to just make sure that they get the best out of their varsity and residence experience while thriving in their academics.

I strongly encourage students to make the best of their time at residence, by being involved in residence activities, observing, and respecting the residence/Hall rules.
