
Milisa Mamase is a researcher and lecturer at the Institute for the Study of the Englishes of Africa (ISEA) at Rhodes University. Her work spans language teacher education, academic publishing, and digital scholarship. She teaches in the Bachelor of Education English Language Teaching programme and contributes to the editorial management of the journals English in Africa and New Coin Poetry, while also overseeing the development and maintenance of the ISEA website and digital archives. Her research focuses on multilingual education, teacher professional development, language policy, and digital pedagogies in African contexts, with particular attention to cultural responsive pedagogies and the intellectualisation of African languages.
