Xolela Ntikinca

Xolela brings a wealth of experience to the field of English Language Teaching, having served the Eastern Cape Department of Education as a Subject Advisor for English in the Intermediate and Senior Phases at the OR Tambo Inland District in Mthatha for five years. Prior to this role, she spent 18 years as a classroom-based English teacher, working across the Intermediate, Senior, and Further Education and Training (FET) phases. She holds a Bachelor of Education in English Language Teaching and a BEd Honours in Bilingual Education for Diversity and Access, both obtained from Rhodes University. In 2024, she earned her Master of Education in English Language Teaching, graduating Cum Laude from Rhodes University. Xolela also received specialized training from the British Council through its Certificate in Online English Language Teaching (COELT) programme, and she has served as one of the COELT Master Trainers in the Eastern Cape. She has been actively involved in professional associations, having served as Secretary of the Eastern Cape English Educators Association (ECEEA) and as a member of the National Association of English Teachers of South Africa (NAETSA). She has presented her work at key conferences, including the LITASA (Literacy Association of South Africa) conference in 2023 and the ECEEA Conference in 2021.
