On Thursday 2 October 2014, Composer Clare Loveday gave a lecture at Rhodes University entitled "Colliding Projects: Creating Inter-disciplinary projects for society, through society." Loveday spoke about her musical collaborations with Gerhard Marx and Nandipha Mntambo. The lecture was facilitated by the Department of Music and Musicology.
