 Kabelo Mosime and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation

The theme for the conference was "The human being in the 21st century in the context of global changes". The conference was a two-day event with a wide range of local and international researchers presenting their research interests, achievements and perspectives, as well as presenting an opportunity for future collaborations between South Africa and Japan. Vice chancellor of the University of Pretoria, Professor Tawana Kupe welcomed conference attendees to a dinner which was followed by a rousing speech by the current Minister of International Relations and Cooperation  - Naledi Pandor. Ultimately, the experience was truly worthwhile and it certainly gave the attendees hope for a prosperous future in the context of global changes.
