Rhodes University is committed to excellence in research and to developing and maintaining a culture of research. As a result, Rhodes actively fosters postgraduate studies and the nurturing of innovative and creative Honours, Masters and Doctoral graduates. In the long term, the University has set itself a target of 25% of the student body made up of postgraduates. At present 20% of the campus student body are postgraduates.
