In 2008-2009 a Research Consultant, Dr. Asta Rau, was commissioned by the Centre for Higher Education Research, Teaching and Learning (CHERTL) to conduct research with the aim of both mapping the infusion of HIV and AIDS in the Curriculum at Rhodes, and developing a theoretical framework for HIV and AIDS infusion. This formed part of Rhodes University’s Comprehensive Institutional Response to HIV and AIDS. Several areas for future work were identified, and this will be taken up by CHERTL in 2010.
