Mothelo Mohlabeng is a Master's student in Psychology. Her research focus is currently on women's experiences with disrespect and abuse during childbirth. Her thesis involves a scoping review of existing literature (recent) aiming to systematically map and analyse the ways in which researchers have written about, conceptualised, and theorised the mistreatment of women during childbirth. Through this work, she seeks to identify existing gaps and trends in the current literature and provide perspective to those who are doing research in this area. This work is supervised by Prof. Tracey Feltham-King and Dr. Ulandi Du Plessis. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree majoring in Psychology and Biochemistry, as well as an Honours degree in Psychology, for which she was awarded with distinction.
