Matsepo Matsetse

Matsepo Nomathemba Motsetse is a second year PhD student at the Critical Studies in Sexualities and Reproduction (CSSR) unit. Her PhD research thesis is titled “Frontline workers’ training manuals: analysis of references to sexual and reproductive citizenship”. Her research will develop and implement an in-service empowerment reproductive health and rights training course aimed at South African frontline workers (nurse practitioners, social workers and Community health workers) using the Masizixhobise toolkit. Matsepo holds a Master of Social Science degree in Sociology and Honours in Development Studies both from Rhodes University Sociology Department.

Her research interests include reproductive justice, livelihoods of grant recipients, underserved population and key population on intersectional issues. She has worked as a researcher, facilitator and transcriptionist with various organisations.
