Ashley Hayden - The Complimentary Breakfast

The beautiful Ashley Hayden joined the Jacaranda FM Complimentary Breakfast team on 9 January 2012 – bringing to the show her usual charm and wit, along with a healthy dose of “keep the boys under control and, where necessary, show them how it’s done!”

Ashley joins co-presenters Rian van Heerden, Dianne Broodryk and Robbie Kruse for a show that is “something you’ve never heard before” – every weekday morning between 6 and 10am on South Africa’s No.1 independent radio station. This is no straight forward 2 eggs on toast kind of meal - the one Complimentary Breakfast you do not want to miss.

Included in the most important meal of the day are; Good Morning Angels, Ken Mekaar, Mengelmoos, Kids quiz and Ashley’s Best and Worst. It’s fun, entertaining and best of all FREE!   Ashley, who is well known for winning the 100th episode of “The Weakest Link” as well as “Come Dine With Me SA”, also placed 4th in “Strictly Come Dancing” and 2nd in “Survivor SA: Santa Carolina” – making her a firm, and widely loved, crowd favourite!

She is also no stranger to radio, having being involved in news and world chart shows with some of South Africa’s leading commercial radio stations. She also continues to do voice work for DSTV, corporate training, MC’ing, conference hosting, public speaking and more – a true “Jill of All Trades, master of ALL” who you cannot afford to miss in the mornings!

Born in Zimbabwe, Ashley studied at Rhodes University and then came, as she says: “much like Dick Whittington’s cat”, to Jo’burg to seek her fortune.

From here she built an illustrious career in entertainment – presenting, amongst others a travel show called Bon Voyage on M-Net that took her all over the world. On the home-front she also acted in TV series like “The Game” and “Homeland”, and on the international circuit with the BBC she featured in “Coup” and “Pride of Africa”.

Feature films that Ashley starred in include “The Mangler” and “Terminator Woman”.
