The Law Faculty librarian Ms Sindi Gule put the first years through their paces this year with a grueling test of their ability to retrieve online library resources. After watching 5 short videos on the law library’s databases, students were required to retrieve specific legal resources in a limited time. The final top 11 students were then invited to a supervised ‘penalty shoot out’ where the fastest and most accurate would come out tops! The top student, Mr Sibabalo Robert Solani, is seen here with Ms Gule and his award. Juta Publishers kindly donated the prize for this competition – a copy of their textbook D Kleyn et al Beginner’s Guide for Law Students 5 ed (2018). The joint second students received Faculty of Law notebooks, and all top students received Law Faculty branded masks.
