The 17th Annual Kovsie Moot Court Competition that took place virtually on 3 December 2021. Ms Hlengiwe Khumalo and Mr Sivenathi Mtshwisa represented the Rhodes University Faculty of Law. Our team went against the University of Pretoria (UP) team in a preliminary round. While the UP team was named the overall winner of the competition, Ms Hlengiwe Khumalo of Rhodes University was named the Overall Best Speaker for the competition. She will receive a book voucher as a prize, sponsored by Phatshoane and Henney Attorneys in Bloemfontein. Mr Gaopalelwe Mathiba was the team coordinator and Mr Shaun Bergover the coach. The enormous support by the Moot Club Chairs - Mr Thembelani Ncube & Ms Hayley Warring - is worth mentioning as it was also very instrumental to this achievement.
