MENDELEY
This session explores Mendeley, a powerful reference management tool combined with an academic social network, designed to support researchers in organising their work and fostering collaboration.
Participants will learn how to:
- Set up and navigate Mendeley – Creating an account, installing the desktop and web apps, and syncing across devices.
- Organise your research library – Importing references from databases and PDFs, creating folders and tags, and managing documents efficiently.
- Generate citations and bibliographies – Using Mendeley’s citation plugin to insert references seamlessly into Word, LibreOffice, and other writing tools in multiple citation styles.
- Collaborate with peers – Joining and creating groups to share references, annotate documents collaboratively, and communicate within the research community.
- Discover research and connect – Using Mendeley’s social features to follow researchers, join discussions, and stay updated with the latest publications in your field.
- Manage PDFs and annotate – Highlighting and adding notes directly on PDFs within Mendeley for better comprehension and review.
- Integrate with other tools – Syncing with institutional repositories and linking with ORCID and other research platforms.
We look forward to seeing you there!!
