Research Week 2019

During Research Week, which was held during 3-7 June 2019, a session on Copyright, Open Access & OA publishing, and predatory journals was held on 5th June. These are issues that tend to create debates around the concerns and uncertainties of these topics. Denise Nicholson was invited to speak about these issues: “The Copyright Amendment Bill: how will this affect me?” Denise is the Librarian of the Scholarly Communication & Copyright Services Office at the University of Witwatersrand.

The session culminated in lively discussion. The below-mentioned links provide access to a wide variety of resources that will most likely assist researchers and scholars with copyright-related queries. The podcast of the session is also a valuable resource.
