SABINET
This training session offers a focused introduction to Sabinet, a vital platform providing access to an extensive collection of South African scholarly, legal, and governmental information.
Participants will learn how to:
- Navigate the Sabinet interface – Exploring its user-friendly design and key features for efficient research.
- Access diverse content – Discovering academic journals, government gazettes, legal documents, policy papers, and industry reports specific to South Africa.
- Conduct effective searches – Utilising keywords, filters, and advanced search options to pinpoint relevant South African resources.
- Understand the significance of local content – Gaining insight into the importance of South African data for research, policy development, and academic work.
- Download and manage documents – Saving, organising, and citing materials accurately for academic and professional use.
- Stay updated – Setting up alerts to monitor new publications and changes in legislation or policy relevant to their field.
By the end of this session, participants will be equipped to leverage Sabinet effectively, enhancing their research capabilities with authoritative South African sources essential for informed decision-making and scholarship.
