On receiving notification of a water outage or water quality issue, the Grounds and Gardens section has the following responsibilities:
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS:
- Service rainwater and water tanks on a regular basis.
EMERGENCY CONDITIONS – OFFICE HOURS:
- Clarify whether Building Maintenance has been notified of the outage or water quality issue.
- Prepare tractors and tankers for dispatching water to water tanks at predetermined locations (10 major kitchens and other identified buildings – see Water Emergency Infrastructure above).
MINOR (LOCAL) OUTAGE OR WATER QUALITY ISSUE:
- Dispatch water as soon as possible to water tanks at predetermined location - based on location of outage or water quality issue.
MAJOR (GENERAL) OUTAGE OR WATER QUALITY ISSUE:
- Dispatch water as soon as possible to water tanks at predetermined location - based on location of outage or water quality issue.
