The Residential Operations division has the following responsibilities in the event of a water outage or water quality issue:
- Ensure that Building Maintenance has been notified immediately of the outage or water quality issue.
- Housekeeping staff to check that all taps are turned off (in the event of water supply being restored).
- In residences, Wardens communicate with sub-wardens, who communicate with residents, about the status of the outage or water quality issue and the steps that have been put in place.
- Deputy Director of Residential Operations or his/her appointee communicates with Emergency Manager regarding arrangement of alternative ablution/ drinking water facilities for building occupants, if required.
