As the person with overall responsibility for the University’s employees and HR support matters, the Director of Human Resources has the following responsibilities:
- Serves as a member of the Management Team.
- Ensures that the Human Resources support system is suitably prepared to respond to an emergency situation.
- Upon receiving notification of an emergency which may lead to media coverage, liaise with the employee’s manager / head of department to provide relevant information to the Communications and Marketing Division who will summarise the facts in a public statement.
- Ensures that employee support is provided in the aftermath of an emergency situation.
