Kay Mosiane will perform in "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change", at the Guild Theater, East London.
Kay was the 2013 Allan Gray House Sports Rep, 2014 Allan Gray House Sub-Warden and Drostdy Hall Sports Rep, recipient of the Dean of Students Drostdy Hall Leadership Award 2014, and the 2015 Allan Gray House Sub-Warden and Drostdy Hall Communications Rep.
Kay is originally from East London having attended Gonubie Primary School and beginning her high school career at Stirling High School. After her family relocated to Johannesburg, she matriculated from the National School of the Arts, specializing in music and musical theatre. Since then, Kay has been actively involved in musical productions including Footloose, Chicago and Sarafina. She also starred in the sold out Joburg Theatre production, Simply Broadway. Kay has shared a stage with south African musical legends such as Sibongile Khumalo, Gloria Bosman, Ringo Madlingozi and the late great Hugh Masekela. She regularly performs with her band Cookin’ ‘n Steamin’ which is currently working on their first EP.
In 2014, she attained her Bachelor of Music Summa Cum Laude from Rhodes University in voice, specializing in jazz and musical theatre singing under Gwyneth Lloyd. She worked for the National Arts Festival for two years as production assistant before returning to East London this year to be a music teacher right where it began, at Gonubie Primary School.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change - is the Tony award winning musical-comedy that blends both the hard times and tender moments that we all experience in our lifelong attempt to find love and happiness. This well loved musical had an Off-Broadway run of more than 5,000 performances and has been performed in 251 Cities.
This year, "ILYYPNC" will be staged in the Guild Theatre by a production team consisting of Amanda Bothma (Director), Jacques Du Plessis (Musical Director), Jeanne Mould (Stage Manager) and Sonwa Sakuba (Choreographer).
Together they have selected four of East London’s best-loved performers: Kay Mosiane, Marc Williams, Marcel Corson and Megan Francis to portray no fewer than 50 characters in this fast paced comedy.
